Resonating in community
Some things just work better when we come together. People ask questions you might not have thought of, or that you forgot, or that you weren't quite up to ask yourself. It can be nice to know you're not alone in how you feel about the piano or the practice. Plus it's just fun to get together and play and talk about how it feels to explore piano improv. It's great to feel more energized and encouraged about the whole thing at the end of the hour than you did when it started.
Vibe Tribe is for our Thursday calls at noon Eastern. We talk about the practice and what we noticed over the last week, and a lot of times people who are up for it will play for each other. That can be surprisingly fun and empowering, even when it might seem a little intimidating at first. It's a really warm group and everybody is super supportive. This doesn't replace your personal practice, which is indispensable and is where the real work gets done, but it's a good place to process that private time with others who are also engaging with it. There are some aspects of the practice that can go much more smoothly and easily and quickly because of the interaction with others once a week.
Vibe Tribe is included with all of the Tune U on Piano programs, for as long as your program runs. If you have taken either Playing the Fields or one of the Tune U on Piano courses or one-on-one work, you're welcome to join the Vibe Tribe by itself. Membership includes the weekly Thursday call, a growing library of session recordings and content videos, and the community forum.
