The second six weeks, after The Beat

The second six weeks of Tune U on Drum, for people who have already played The Beat.

Six weeks of drum practice with other people in the room, where rhythm becomes the way you listen to someone else and answer them.

Using simple, intuitive drumming, this container supports:

  • hearing what's actually being played, not what's expected

  • staying yourself while playing with others

  • sensing what a room is feeling, and answering it in sound

Musical focus:
Improvisation and orientation in relation to others.

You’ll be:

  • attuning to a collective pulse

  • trading call and response as real conversation

  • working with dynamics, tone, texture and layering together

  • co-creating rhythms with the group

Modules 7 through 12 of the Tune U on Drum framework. The same practice as the first six weeks, turned toward other people.
